014_11A (23K)

1) What is Anodyne?
Anodyne is a modality used in our clinic to help increase circulation & decrease pain, primarily for peripheral neuropathies. It is infrared photo energy distributed through highly efficient light emitting diodes (LED’s) placed in direct skin contact.

2) What can you expect from Anodyne Therapy?
Most patients report mild warmth noted during the treatment with Anodyne. Some state tingling & pulsing sensations are felt as a result of the increase in circulation to the specific area.

3) How long will it take before noticing any changes?
Some patients notice changes within a few treatments while others take longer to get positive results depending on their degree of impairment: typically 10-24 therapy sessions are needed.

4) Studies have shown 88.8% of patients have noticed a reduction in pain from Anodyne Therapy. Typically Anodyne is used in conjunction with balance, stretching & strengthening exercises, manual techniques, as well as other modalities to enhance the benefits of therapy.
